Equipping leaders to plant, grow, and multiply gospel-centered churches.
We believe: (1) God’s strategy for fulfilling the Great Commission is planting (and replanting) churches. Church planting is the most effective strategy for seeing lives and communities transformed by the gospel. (2) Everything rises and falls on leadership. Our residency is designed to prepare leaders to steward their gifts for maximum impact.
Plant with us.
Every year we take five to six church planting couples through a nine-month high investment, high return experience that catalyzes their health and fruitfulness as planters. In addition to raising up internal candidates from within our network of churches, we have the capacity and opportunity to partner with couples outside our network who share our vision and values. Often these are couples who don’t have sending churches or whose sending churches do not offer this kind of training. Residency can be done from The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, one of our network churches, or from your sending church.
We are looking for proven pastor-leaders with the gift set to plant a church in a strategic US or global city.
Residents begin with the vision of a new church. Over 9 months, we share with them everything we’ve learned about building a healthy, thriving church. We help them develop their vision, build a strong team, raise the resources they need, and develop the strategies and systems of a gospel-centered church. We help them clarify what kind of church God has called them to build in their city and how to make that dream a reality.
Residents gather twice a month for training and coaching with seasoned pastors and planters. Full-time residents serve on staff and prepare to be sent from a Summit Network or partner church. Part-time residents participate in residency while leading their churches.
